The brief was to transform a challenging sloping coastal site into a functional and inviting family landscape. Sandstone-clad retaining walls were carefully integrated to create a series of level terraces, providing usable outdoor spaces while complementing the coastal setting. A generous lawn area was established to provide a safe and open space for children to play, while a dedicated fire pit zone offers a relaxed gathering space for family and friends.

A palette of hardy native planting was selected to thrive in the coastal environment, providing year-round texture and resilience to salt-laden winds. Integrated garden lighting enhances the landscape after dark, highlighting key features and extending the usability of the garden into the evening. Comprehensive drainage solutions were incorporated throughout the site to ensure long-term performance and functionality.
